
I’d concluded from Googling that the ribbon cable must have snapped and I was wondering whether I’d need to buy a new one. It did, and I’m optimistic now that the issue may be fixed. I tried the Chat function and at 3 o’clock in the morning (!) I was put through to a real human being, who talked me through the process of getting the firmware updater to run. The firmware updater kept telling me the keyboard was up to date, but I went over to the Logitech website because in Europe there’s a 2 year warranty and I’ve only had it 21 months. Just in case anybody finds this thread in a search, I had exactly the same problem this evening.
